ASUS LS221H and LG Flatron W2284F
It is hard to understand why LG decided to position the Flatron W2284F as premium class monitor since it only attracts attention by thin case and ingenious design of power-on button. Glossy plastic and curvy contour aren’t something incredible nowadays while rather absurd shape of the support deteriorates the general impression.

W2284F could have better characteristics. I couldn’t find the promised dynamic contrast of 30000:1, colour reproduction is quite poor with strong bias towards cold tones, while positive features include only decent evenness of lighting and combination of good response time with minimum artefacts. If it weren’t for the latter W2284F would differ from the majority of modern 22″ monitors. Big database of monitor drivers on this link

LG Flatron W2284F can be of gaming interest due to fast matrix and accurate compensation of response time and for those first of all paying attention to the appearance of a monitor yet the latter issue can be contested by other rivals starting from Samsung of Topaz series to the above mentioned ASUS LS221H.
